Life has more to do with refurbishing than I thought
Being Beautiful Inside Out
Recently, I got a new place. I felt in love with it immediately when I saw the picture in the selling website (picture above). After checking more than 50 places, and bidding for some, I know this was the one. We made our best offer, offer for winning, and we did!!!
After getting it completely empty, I felt even more in love with the space and lighting that come from the big windows. My boyfriend and I, partners in this adventure, wanted to paint it and to remove the old wall paper to better highlight the beauty of the flat. We thought doing ourselves but a friend recommended a constructor that does this kind of job. We asked him for a professional advice and quotation. We liked it and closed the deal.
Thanks God we closed the deal 🙌🏼. It had 3 layers of old wall paper, and bellow it, the wall was with looooots of wholes. All damaged 😱😱😱. You can check yourself in the picture below! Probably you going to get as surprised as me. How come is the main question!
What I thought is that situation reminds me our life. On the outside it all looks beautiful 👍 … but deep inside, we have all types of wholes, damages and cracks, that we try to cover with layers and layers of beauty stuff and fake smiles.
The wall was to the point that would not hold a TV, a paint or anything else if it weren’t fixed. If we had just fixed the surface as commonly done, who knows what would happen in a near future.
So, refurbishment has more to do with life than I imagined. Besides, it relates a lot with the type of work I do. Helping people fix the deep inside cracks. Being beautiful and strong inside out. Remove the need for layers and layers of coverage.
